Tap Tap Track is a fully customizable tap tracking app that puts you in complete control. Create your own categories, define custom tap presets, and track anything with a single tap. All your data stays on your device — no accounts, no servers, no tracking. Optional location logging is available if you want to capture business names with your events.

Edit Events
Edit any tracked event to change the time, date, or add notes. Long-press an event button to track and edit immediately.
Quick Tap Shortcuts
Open Manage with the "Configure Taps" button, long-press any tap to edit its preset, and tap stats to jump to History or Trends.
Number Input
Add numeric values to your taps. Configure optional min/max ranges with sliders, or allow free-form number entry. Choose whole numbers or decimals. Perfect for ratings, measurements, counts, or any numeric data.
Optional Location Logging
Location logging is completely optional and disabled by default. Enable it per tap preset to automatically capture GPS coordinates and nearby business names. If enabled, only anonymous coordinates are sent directly to Apple's servers for business and location name search. Tap Tap Track does not collect, store, or have access to any location data. Your tracked events and personal data remain private and stored locally.
CSV Export
Export all your data anytime as a CSV file for backup or analysis. Your data belongs to you, always accessible.

How to Use
Quick Track
Tap any preset button to instantly log it with the current time. Events auto-save immediately, so tracking is instant.
Guided Onboarding
New to the app? Follow the onboarding flow to pick suggested taps, create categories, and build your first presets.
Track with Details
Long-press an event button to log it and immediately edit the time, date, or add notes. Perfect for logging past events or adding context.
View History
Switch to the History tab to see all your tracked events organized by date. Tap the edit icon to modify any entry. You can also tap the "Today" stat on the home screen to jump here.
Customize
Use the Manage tab (or the "Configure Taps" button on the home screen) to create categories and tap presets with custom icons and colors. Organize your tracking system exactly how you want.
Optional Location Logging
Location logging is completely optional and disabled by default. Enable it when creating or editing a tap preset. When you track events with that preset, the app will automatically capture your location and nearby business names. Only anonymous coordinates are sent directly to Apple's servers for business and location name search. Tap Tap Track does not collect, store, or have access to any location data. Your tracked events and personal data remain private and stored locally on your device. You can edit location names or select from nearby businesses in the confirmation screen.
View Trends
Switch to the Trends tab to see charts and statistics about your tracked events over time. Spot patterns and track your progress. You can also tap the "This Week" stat on the home screen to jump here.
Export Data
Export your event history to CSV from the History tab for backup or analysis. Your data is always yours to export.
Import Foursquare Checkins
Bring your Foursquare (Swarm) checkin history into Tap Tap Track. Request your data from Swarm, download the JSON file, and import it through the Manage tab. View step-by-step guide →
Number Input for Events
Add numeric values to your tracked taps. When creating or editing a tap preset, enable number input and optionally set min/max values to show a slider. You can choose to allow decimals or restrict to whole numbers only. If you don't set min/max values, users can enter any number directly. Perfect for ratings, measurements, counts, or any numeric data you want to track alongside your events.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data private and secure?
▼Yes! Tap Tap Track is designed with privacy as the core principle. All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The app operates offline by default. If you enable optional location logging, only anonymous coordinates are sent directly to Apple's servers for business and location name search. Tap Tap Track does not collect, store, or have access to any location data. We don't collect any information, track usage, or use any analytics services. Your tracked events and personal data remain private and stored locally.
Do I need to create an account?
▼No account is required! Download the app and start tracking immediately. There's no sign-up, no email, no phone number needed. Just download and use.
How do I create custom categories and events?
▼Go to the Manage tab and tap "Add" next to Categories or Event Presets. For categories, just enter a name. For event presets, you can customize:
- Name: Choose any name for your event
- Icon: Select from 200+ icons across 12 categories
- Color: Pick from 16 color options
- Category: Assign to any category you've created
Can I edit or delete events after tracking them?
▼Yes! Go to the History tab, find the event you want to edit, and tap the edit icon. You can change the time, date, add or modify notes, or delete the event entirely.
How do I track an event that happened in the past?
▼Long-press the event button instead of just tapping it. This will log the event and immediately open the edit screen where you can change the date and time to when it actually occurred.
Can I export my data?
▼Yes! Go to the History tab and use the export feature to download all your tracked events as a CSV file. This is perfect for backups or analyzing your data in spreadsheet applications.
What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?
▼If you uninstall the app, all data stored locally on your device will be deleted. However, if you have iCloud Backup enabled in your iOS settings, the data may be included in your device backup. To be safe, export your data to CSV before uninstalling if you want to keep it.
Can I sync my data across multiple devices?
▼Tap Tap Track stores all data locally on each device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your data may be included in your device backups, but there's no automatic syncing between devices. You can export your data from one device and import it manually if needed.
What iOS version do I need?
▼Tap Tap Track requires iOS 17.0 or later. This ensures you have access to the latest SwiftData features and the best performance.
How many events can I track?
▼There's no limit! You can track as many events as you want. The app uses efficient local storage, so you're only limited by your device's storage capacity.
Can I delete a category or preset?
▼Yes! In the Manage tab, you can delete categories or event presets. When deleting a preset, you'll have the option to delete just the preset (keeping the tracked events) or delete both the preset and all associated events.
What can I track with this app?
▼Anything you want! Common uses include:
- Habits: Exercise, meditation, reading
- Health: Medications, meals, sleep times
- Work: Meetings, calls, tasks completed
- Social: Events, calls, activities
- Hobbies: Practice sessions, creative work
- And much more — it's completely customizable!
